Pond 2 was dug out during the 1940,s, to supplement the water supply of Pond 1 for the Williamthorpe colliery.
There are 34 pegs spaced around the pond.
The pond is around 3.75 acres and has depths to 14 feet, the bottom is relatively snag free and consists of either clay bottom, shale bottom or silt bottom.
There is one disabled peg which is the closest peg to the carpark, the carpark is big enough for 12 cars.
Car parking is only allowed in the carpark provided.
Access to Pond 2 is via the barrier off Mansfield Road, Keys are available from the Secretary or resident bailiffs, there is a charge for Car Parks keys.
The Barrier must be kept locked at all times.
There is a 5 mph speed limit on the access road, please observe at all times.

Pond 2 holds the bigger fish found at Williamthorpe angling club, there are Carp, Bream, Tench, roach, Perch, Rudd, Roach and the odd eel.
Pond 2 can be a hard water to fish but it can be very rewarding.

A maximum of 5lb ground bait to be used per fishing session
